Hue

This just isn’t right
And it’s everything but white
Cause you’ve covered your sight
To any true source of light

Damn it, why is this what you do?
I wish I could say that this was new
But there hasn’t been a single bright hue
Encouraging me to change my view

Damn it, all that you always hide
Keeps me away from your side
All the hope I had for us has finally died
Because the gap has grown too wide

Damn- I know you understand-
But-Damn-I know you don’t
And I know that still you won’t
Because it doesn’t matter that I took a stand.

You attempt to avoid it all
As you divert your attention from your wall
You’ve built so you won’t hear my call
Don’t you see? All you’re doing is creating a stall
But the pause really can’t stop this long fall
