I’m really trying to grow up,
Taking small steps to be mature:
Learning from what I’ve succeeded to disrupt.
Time’s beginning to mean much more.
Choices seem important, but not,
And I’m wondering what my life is for.
So many roads I could travel.
Is there only one path that’s right?
I don’t want it all to unravel.
I’m feeling so very confused-
And it’s about everything.
It’s getting hard to be amused.
I’ve made so many mistakes,
Learning from them is growing old:
Seeing what it altogether creates.
Every day is seeming shorter.
But every minute takes more time.
Is there definite worth in a quarter?
I’m positioning my lever,
Deciding which gear is correct…
Hoping I won’t be this way forever.
