Finally I’m standing up-
Lying on the ground was getting old-
Finally moving forward
Being still was growing far too cold.
I don’t know everything-
Pretending that I do is pointless-
But the more I know I don’t
The better I can clean up this mess.
I’m still not sure where to go-
But that’s when you can direct me-
I’m asking for answers
I’ll just have to be patient to see.
And I know things will get rough-
They’ll be tough just like they’ve always been-
But you’ve gotten me this far
And will help when there’s rock bottom again.
I’m letting go my mistakes-
Thinking and learning from what I’ve done-
Heading off with you beside
And deciding that it’s time to run.
The future is looming high-
I’ll try to follow you each day-
Through you I have a new stand.
I’m trusting in the wisdom of your way.
