Atone

Those words…

They told me what I wish I’d before known.

Those words…

They uncover everything which was never shown.

Those words…

They show me how you have been so hurt and so alone.

Those words…

How do I help you change them so this isn’t set in stone?

Those words…

How can they bring peace for something we can’t atone?

Those words…

How do I hear them, accept them, and release them in a poem?
