Cameras in Our Heads

Days fly by only to be occasionally captured

By the sometimes clips of the cameras in our heads.

One moment freezes in our minds to be remembered;

Another passes away with someone’s last breath on his death bed.

Tell me life can be somehow better remembered

And that we do gain from the moments of joy and pain.

Tell me that when the scenes and snapshots are over

We have time to view the Polaroids of where we’ve lain.
