If I write enough can I find the meaning
Behind the madness of the words I say?
If I find enough ways to mix these letters
Can they help me unscramble the random acts of hate
Which eat away at the corners of this decade’s page?
If I rearrange the stanzas,
Alter the expected flow of these lines,
Will it be enough to give me hope in what’s ahead and not behind?
If I edit the story down enough
Can I uncover some bit of truth in all the lies?
If I write enough can I find meaning
In the tragedies which surround our lives?
