As we grow, we search for different colors. Maybe we don’t truly search. But we accidentally breathe in the different hues. One day all we can see is black. Some weeks fade into a gray. But there are hours filled with gold. And there are moments which shoot sparks of vibrant red.
Sometimes we experience all the colors distinctively. Sometimes we find the colors have blended together. Some colors are so very pleasant to touch in their moment. Some colors make us feel dirty and hard to see.
However, within life’s final, unplanned landscape, we see one color is not more beautiful than another. For as we age, the years mix, swirl, and encapsulate colors’ meanings. Through the shading, we make rainbows: A collection of the shades of shifting hours throughout our lives.
