Lost Poems

What happened to all my lost poems?

There are moments, emotions, and memories

Locked still between small lines

I’ve never let leave my lips.

If I fail to write this down now,

Will I find this chance is lost?

But if I dare voice my inner fear,

Put my pen to paper,

And let these emotions flow,

Could it be that I spell out

The ending which I dread?

Or will the ending be the same

Regardless of who writes the refrain?

What happened to all my lost poems?

There are moments, emotions, and memories

Not yet locked within these lines,

But will I ever let them leave my fingertips?
