Where has the time gone?
Your body lies at rest within the grave.
My body continues to rush,
Speed, catapult, without any sense of my growing age.
Someday I will meet you beneath that dirt.
I will sense peace that only comes with the end.
But for now, I continuously reach for new beginnings.
I search for meaning despite it all.
Too often, I forget where we came from, where I’ve been,
And lose sight of what is still around the next bend.
