This house feels empty.
The silence keeps me up
And rings in my ears.
How could I have lost you?
How did this day bring so much fear?
My heart feels hollow
As though it will never weigh anything again.
And all my “what ifs”
Bring no answers; just blame.
My world feels meaningless
As though nothing will make it right
And as though I will forever
Long for where I’ve been.
