How do I reimagine a future without you in it?
Every morning, midday, evening, you were there.
Each day I woke to you.
Always I knew you were near.
And now your not.
There is an empty space
Following me around this house,
Waiting for me in the car,
And hiding out
Just to eat me from within.
Truth be told,
No matter how many proverbs
Are whispered in my ear,
Right now I don’t know
How I will move forward
Without you here.
